PRO-SPEC® 0W/40 SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL
100% SYNTHETIC BASE STOCK
There is really only one method to meet the challenge of formulating a product which performs as a SAE 0W motor oil in cold temperatures while serving as a SAE 40 motor oil in warm temperatures. That method is to use synthetic base stocks. Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 is formulated with a polyalphaolefin (PAO) base stock. This particular base stock is used because it is wax- free and does not contain sulfur, phosphorus or metals. These characteristics enable Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 to lubricate for extended periods, during the harshest conditions.
PRO-SPEC® 0W/40 LONG-LASTING
Due to its complex synthetic formulation, Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 is specially designed to lubricate for extended intervals. (Note: As with all lubricants, it is important to monitor Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 with regular oil analyses to determine the exact interval between changes for each piece of equipment.) Extended use of the product translates into substantially reducing the cost of using the product as compared to ordinary motor oils. Long-lasting Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 saves money.
VERSATILE - GASOLINE AND DIESEL
The versatility of PRO-SPEC ® 0W/40 reduces inventory requirements for the user. Only one product is needed for gasoline or diesel engines. Furthermore, this oil is a true year-round lubricant, eliminating the need to purchase different viscosities of motor oil throughout the year. Synthetic lubricant technology provides Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 with the ability to solve the puzzle of which motor oil to use in Canada’s harsh environment.
PRO-SPEC® 0W/40HIGH VISCOSITY INDEX
Viscosity Index is an indicator of a lubricant’s ability to resist viscosity changes when exposed to temperature changes. Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 has an extremely high viscosity index of 170. This explains why our product provides constant protection regardless of temperature. With a pour point of -570 C, Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 can perform in the cold Canadian climate. This is further indicated with the Cold Cranking Test which shows Pro-Spec SAE 0W/40 passing at -250 C. with an impressive 5631 cps. The standard for passing is 7000 cps at -250C. These tests prove that this synthetic oil performs well in cold temperatures.
